Mapala is a community of travelers, the aim of which is to make traveling affordable to everyone. Having all the stakeholders involved in the new tourism market formation, a new ecosystem based on human relations and new technologies emerges in the Mapala community.
The Mapala community provides its members with an opportunity to make their contribution to the community development and receive TravelCoin which can be used on the p2p-traveling market both in their cities and in a journey round the world.
The transparent turnover of the economic system can be achieved by the MAPALA blockchain which is a technical fork of BitShares-Core with TravelCoin as the kernel currency.
Besides, the community members can share their impressions and get a reward for it as well as be included in a queue for free travels as the first happy members have already done. Pay-offs for the content publication is possible due to the integration with Steem and Golos blockchains.
The Traveler’s Passport, as a distributed trust model, forms the base of the relationships inside the platform, and the blockchain absolutely secures the data storage and transparency of the economic system turnover.
But the most important thing in the Mapala community is the idea of free traveling in the world without borders. People are fond of it: they do tattoos with the Mapala symbol on their bodies; they stick the logo on their cars, plant flags on top of the highest mountains in the world and hold the community meetings in cities they live in. It means a lot. People feel that they belong to it, and their faith constitutes the main asset of the Mapala community.
Pre-ICO
The project is Pre-ICO funded. The goal is to continuously raise funds for the mapala.net stable beta version development.
Pre-ICO is to be conducted in two stages:
Step 1. As an auction since January 2017. The weekly emission is 810000 Mpl, which are distributed to investors on the pro rata basis for this period. At the moment, 46.77 BTC have already been collected. 129 people have already participated in the pre-ICO. This step completion date – 22.09.2017.
Step 2. Direct sale. Starting date – 23.09.2017. The cost of 1000 Mpl = 0.0000027289, which exceeds the average cost of Bitcoin for the previous period by 1.56 times or by 3.5 times if calculated in dollars. Direct sale will stop once 350,000 USD has been collected or on 04.11.2017.
Pre-ICO and ICO are not a business model, it is only a push to development, feedback from the world.
ICO
The ICO starts on 4 Nov. 2017. Goal: collection of funds to implement additional services and scale up. The ICO will be conducted with Ethereum followed by the transfer of tokens to the MAPALA blockchain. The tokens are distributed to investors on the pro rata basis for this period.
