Do slot machines payout differently based on the player playing the machine?

The slot machine does not know who is playing the machine. The payout is based on the RNG (random number generator) and the paytable that the machine uses to determine the payout of each combination (you can see that on each machine you play - it tells you the payouts, and if some combinations only pay on “max bet” (like progressive machines).

The players card is a casino tool to measure how long you play, when you play, and what you won. It can’t “tell” the machine to change the odds for you - the gaming commission has strict rules on that.

So no, the machine does not change the payout based on the player. the Only variable is how much you wager - which determines how much you can potentially win - if you win.
