We were more than just lovers,she was a sister , a friend , a mother . I trusted her more than I think I should have ,maybe this height of trust contributed to how I was terribly broke down by her betrayal.

The story that changed me

This day like every other day ,we sat side -by-side reading from a novel ,but this time I felt her absent mindedness and I ignored the yellow alert with the believe she wasn't too fine as she earlier complained and requested that she go home to have some rest.

Caught in the act : To my greatest surprise ,this is thesame girl few minutes ago who claimed to have been sick and needed a rest now naked in my friend's room. I couldn't believe she is thesame girl whom I trusted with my life ,thesame girl I have introduced to my mum, thesame girl who made me believe she was a virgin all this while.

Deep in thought , I could barely hear what she was saying "it's the work of the devil" could all I heard as she knee pleading for a second chance.

"Facing her back at me" was the tricked that always worked on my heart to show kindness but today "the spell was not gonna work "I could not move,I could not breathe, I could not think . Though I was on earth ,the heat from mercury could reach to me.

Lying helplessly in my room, fill with rage not knowing who to blame, "myself for trusting too much ,my friend or my lover" I wanted to sleep and not to be woken up from this misery forever , I just wanted to meet papa God.

My burning heart could not be quenched ,taking a bottle of alcohol I felt was the only remedy . I devour the bottles of alcohol like a man who is recovering from a fast. 1 2 3 4 bottles ,I can't get the numbers of count all I remember was

Emergency! Emergency! Emergency room was the word boldly written on the door post as I tried to gain accommodation from the blur vision only to see a doctor standing next to me he has drank too much bottles of alcohol I heard the doctor saying. Turning to look at the people the doctor was addressing the words to only to see my lover and my mum sitting. And I fainted again.
