BEAT MAKING CONTEST ANNOUCEMENT

Hey STEEMIANS!

It's day 18 of 2018 and I hope you guys are still smashing your goals and new years resolutions!

I have the goal of being the most helpful musician on this platform. @thisisbenbrick and whoever the legends that invented @dtube, @dlive and @dsound are have a PRETTY big head start so I'm going to have my work cut out for me haha.

So far this year, I've created a spam-free facebook group for STEEMIT you can join that over HERE :).
We post cool stuff and just all around support each other without all of the UPVOTE FOR UPVOTE garbage.

I've also hopped onboard the crypto wave in earnest. Has the bear market in crypto got you down?

A contract for difference – CFD for short – between you and a broker is a trading derivative that enables you the buyer to enter an agreement with a seller (the broker) whereby you would pay the difference between the value of a financial instrument from the time you take it out to the time you terminate the contract. In order to do this you often pay in the form of a spread- which is at best the difference between the buy and the ask price of the instrument on the market- some brokers charge more some charge less- and in some cases there are additional charges for positions on cryptocurrencies. Do your research friends. :D In general the idea is if you go long and the price goes up you make money so if you believe a crypto is tanking some more then go short. I use 24option for now.

I always talk about money because money is a great way to fund any creative endeavour. In this day and age you can make your art and blast a couple of facebook ads and you're the next big thing- so I always make it my business to keep all my artist friends well informed of financial plays.

I went short on the GBP/CAD last week at the worst possible time and lost about 200 GBP on the position (and running- I left 70 quid more because I can afford to risk that- but I'm not happy about it at all my lot size was TINY. :/ Trading is risky yo – be careful and remember to always cut losses quick if your trade doesn't do what you plan for it to do. I've learnt that lesson the hard way.

But what I really came here to talk to y'all about today was the fact that I was recording some new material for my album “Hush” which will be available in it's entirety on STEEMIT.

It's so SO exciting.

I've never felt like I've had so much creative control over my life before. With STEEMIT I don't even NEED fans anymore to achieve success I can literally have you guys- my day to day friends that I share pictures and comment and hangout with just listen to my music and I can get paid at NO cost to YOU. I can give you value... AT NO COST TO YOU. This is truly unprecedented stuff. If you haven't already fellow musicians- invest some money in STEEMIT and stake your claim in the platform because it really is only a matter of time before the whales of the industry see what's going on here and come STEEM rolling through (I'm sorry :P )

Closing out I've been trying to come up with ways to add value to the #musician #community here on the #STEEMIT #blockchain in whatever way I know how so I'm going to start a #hiphop #producer #contest . If @dsound or @dtube wants to support that we could judge the beats on @dlive and that would be lit as hell. Bring your A-game though – I don't want y'all to get bodied by a vocalist ;) .
