As some of you may or may not know I run a faucet for the STEEM network as part of my witness campaign as a service to the users on the network needing some extra STEEM.
How to Claim Your Daily STEEM:
If you haven't already done so head on over to
STEEM.GLOBAL and make an account. It's simple to create an account, simply click on the "My Account" button circled below:
After that you can register an account or log in with your existing account on the page below:
After you have logged in or registered you can click the "FREE STEEM" button on front page:
You'll be briefly shown an ad (helps pay costs) and be taken to the withdrawal amount page:
Insert a receiving account and amount you'd like sent and click the continue button
If all looks well the only step left is to hit the "FINALIZE PAYMENT" button for STEEM!
Go check your account on Steemit.com and see that your FREE STEEM has arrived.
Power up your STEEM, Give it to a friend or trade it. It's yours to collect daily! Have fun!
25% of the liquid STEEM payout goes towards faucet funding!

I'm not getting this. It says to put steemit name and .0050
Then on your blog page (above) it states it deducts .0001 and on my page it deducts .00050 from my account. I thought this .0050 was FREE and to go in my account. I tried to fix it to deduct what you had (.0001) but it added .0052 to be taken out of my account. I am new here and need some steem in my account not less. Help. I don't get it.

It now says it will take 0.102 out of my account. That is more than Global will give me 0.050. Is this another bug? Also it states 'Sorry, it seems that there are no available payment methods for your state. Please contact us if you require assistance or wish to make alternate arrangements."

Showing the ads is not a bad idea. If the amount of steem you give away is slightly less than the ad payout that can help pay for the hosting, steem node, etc. I don't know if this is the case or not, and I am not saying it is a negative. If it works out that way then that is a good idea and you and the visitors both benefit.

I have to run a seed node anyways to be taken seriously as a witness, this is just a fun project built ontop of it to help spread STEEM. Eventually I'll sit down and crunch the numbers to see how much I can give away a day in order to break even but for now it's simply a matter of giving away free STEEM to those who want it. :)
