To be honest, this whole community thing is a bit confusing. I get the concept, but the implementation is not intuitive. I say this as a reader and as an author. Maybe it has to do with Steemit's user interface and some UX improvements are in order. As a reader, I feel that the site doesn't encourage me to explore further, the way Reddit does. And as an author, well, I just discovered that my latest post ended in the wrong community.

Yup, it's become little engaging and people are just not interacting as much. I feel communities fragmented the Steem community and it's just not working. It was a good idea, but it didn't pull off as expected.
