It is an open source, free vulnerability scanning and managing tool that runs on Linux operating systems. With Openvas, you can be aware of your vulnerabilities, generate reports and follow up accordingly. Vulnerability notices and advisors on Openvas are close to 500,000 and continue to be updated. With Openvas, you can determine your target devices, network, ports and hosts. You can then set up a scheduled scantask for your targets.
