I love the Steemit platform. It is simple to use and produces really nice looking posts. I think there are a few elements of functionality that would really enhance it though. Here are the three features that I think would really improve the site.
1. Language Filter
It would be great to have functionality to filter types of posts. The one that immediately comes to mind is to have a language filter. It is great that Steemit is so international and I have found so many interesting pictures and articles from around the world but I do sometimes find myself scrolling through many posts in languages I don't speak. Being able to filter down to languages that you want to see should be a fairly easy addition that would improve the user experience.
2. Tag Subscriptions or More Specific Filters/Following
I would love to have more control over the feed. There are particular users who I follow, and interests that I have that I would really like to be able to prioritise in the feed. If there were more standardisation of tags then possibly some kind of subscription/follow of tags in areas of interest would also let me see more of the things that I am interested in.
3. Scheduled Posts
This is a pretty common feature on other platforms that I think would be pretty handy. There are arguments against scheduling - namely it helps spammers to continually spam and it can reduce the regularity of user engagement if you are only transmitting your information and not staying on the site. However, I think that the ability for those who are producing regular, high quality content to be able to schedule it to control when it is appearing would improve the site more than those disadvantages would detract from the current site.
Those are the three features I would most like to see added. Are there any features that you would like to see added to Steemit?

We have started with feature #2 in your list (tag subscription, and we plan to introduce a lot of content filters as well) and we plan to implement #3. Feat. #1 seems a little bit tricky, e.g. if you would like to filter out the dominant language ("en") you would have to request a lot of posts from the blockchain before you find one post that is in your desired language, so a lot of time and load on Steem node. But I think we'll get to it at some time as well.

Absolutely agree on all of these... the lack of post scheduling and drafts is something I really struggle with... I've got a couple of posts on the go that I have to save to notepad because I need to put up other posts.
What I'd really like is to have a blog roll down the side under 'My Blog' and 'My Wallet' of people that I add in there. I feel like I could follow a lot more people if I could ensure that I could go down my list of friends first and check for new content.

Great points! The language filter is something I never thought about. I would also love the feature of "new followers" so I can check out their accounts as well.
