In the Utopian.io editor, the first option is to choose "What is this contribution about?". The second option in the editor is to link the github repository of the contribution. In this field, the contributors link the relevant repository. For example, this contribution is about Utopian.io so I linked the utopian-io/utopian.io repository.
If you type something and press enter, you will see some repositories matching the text you typed. When I typed Utopian, the following repositories were shown to me:
I choose the 3rd one which is also the correct one. Utopian's github entry ranked 3rd in the list because the drop down menu's current sorting settings. I would like to suggest improvements to this sorting settings.
My suggestion is to rank the github repositories based on how much they are used in this website. If the github form dropdown list changes its sorting settings and give priority to repositories that are often used in this site, then Utopian's repository would probably rank first.
This will help new users link repositories with much ease. I have seen many users linking wrong repositories in the busy.org's (busyorg/busy) contributions. This occurs because the user may not know the correct repository for busy or because they choose the first repository that was shown in the dropdown menu.
I have seen many Busy.org contributions with this wrong repository: cyan92128505/BusyOrgan
This happens probably because busy's repository doesn't appear when people write busy or busyorg in the field. You can see in the below image, the top suggestions to the search busy are not related:
After scrolling a little long, the busy's real entry appears:
If this suggestion is implemented, then searching for busy will show the busyorg/busy entry in the top and searching for utopian will show the utopian-io/utopian.io in top. It will be more user friendly and will help prevent mistakes by new users.
