SLC-S24/W2 | Chocolate cake

Today I'm here to be a part of this amazing course SLC-S24/W2 | Chocolate cake organized by @m-fdo . I'm enjoying the course and making cake by following the recipe given by teacher. I made the cake on 1st day of task but sudden busyness in my daily schedule i can't make post for it. Now I'm here for it.

Let's start today's task.

1.Make the given recipe in detail with step by step pictures. Include your name tag with the date at the final presentation of the recipe.

I'm following the recipe given in course,

Making :

Step1:

  • Take a clean bowl. Add butter and powder sugar of given amount in a pan and mixed it well until it gets creamy texture.

Step 2:

  • Now add eggs to the cake mixture and beat it well. Add eggs one by one and beat it until get a uniform smooth mixture.

Step3:

Now add half tsp of Vanilla essence to remove egg smell and add good smell to the cake . You can add chocolate essence to it too.

Step 4:

Now add all dry ingredients flour, baking powder, cocoa powder and mixed them and stevie them .

Step 5:

Add 3-4 tsp of milk in the mixture and mixed all the ingredients well. A nice mixture of chocolate cake is ready to be baked.

Step 6:

  • Grease mold with butter and place parchment paper in mold. Now pour cake baitter in mold.

Step 7:

  • Now bake it for 30-40 minutes in preheated oven at 180°C. Insert toothpick in cake to check its fully cooked. Thake out from oven and cool it down. Take out cake from mold .

  • Cut it into pieces and enjoy this delicious chocolate cake.

All ingredients that are used in chocolate cake recipe are easily available and not very expensive. Here I'm sharing their prices. This is the price list in my local currency and Steem as well.

3 . Is this your first time making a chocolate cake? Or have you made a chocolate cake before? (Minimum 100 words)

No, I have tried many times before this cake . My family loves chocolate cake and we mostly bought from bakery , so on occasion we order from outside. But simple sponge is made at home sometimes. My elder daughter always initiated cake making ,now she's married so my youngest daughter forced me to make chocolate cake.

You will not trust on me this week I have made 4 tumes this cake ,one on sunday before contest post, second time for contest, third time for my daughter's friends and 4th time for my friends gathering, all have to bring a dish for gathering. I made chocolate cake. Everyone likes my cake.

After making four time this cake in 5 days i have realised its very easy and convenient thing to make , if cocoa is available at home then uou can make it anytime. For big gathering chocolate gnashing can make it very attractive and perfect.

Tomorrow will be a weekend and I'm 100 percent sure my daughter will demand for chocolate cake.

4 . Explain the importance of the cocoa powder/chocolate powder used in the cake. Also, why do you use less cocoa powder than flour? ✔️(3 Mark)✔️

Cocoa powder or chocolate powder gives rich and chocolaty flavour to cake. It gives beautiful attractive color to the cake. After adding it cake becomes more delicious and my kids and family are chocolate lover. Its the main ingredient to give chocolaty flavour to chocolate cake.

Coca has bitter taste so we use it in less amount as compared to the flour. You can add more coca than from the recipe too but you have to add more sugar and milk to balance it. Cocoa has starchy texture and if we add more cocoa the texture of cake may become dry. Excess coca powder makes color of chocolate cake darker and it may look burnt.

I really liked your all baking items specially chocolate cake is the best 😋😋,well explained,the right amount of Coco powder played very essential role in cake taste that's why we always used less amount in cake batter for perfect turned out
