Cotton Sock Story :: Use pick

Fluency really is simple to develop if you can UNDERSTAND what you learn WITHOUT needing any translations or rules. And just imagine if you'd SEEN and HEARD the story in a video!
Wouldn't that have made it EVEN BETTER?
The truth is that your age, location and language learning history mean nothing if you just connect with English instantly...

Right now, imagine you’re at a clothing store...
In front of you is a bin filled with different socks.
Purple ones, red ones, white ones with blue stripes, and many more...
But none of the pairs are together.
So, you begin to pick through the socks in the bin, looking for one you like.

Very quickly, you find a green one with black stars on it.
Pick up and examine the sock. Raise it so it's close to your eyes.
It's a soft, cotton sock, and you like its feel.
Now, you have to find its match!

So you return to picking through the bin, and after a minute or so of searching, you find the other green sock at the very bottom.
When you pick the second green sock up, you notice there's a small sticker attached that shouldn't be there...
So you pick the sticker off slowly and carefully with your finger nail.
You just picked out a new pair of socks to buy. Excellent choice!

Now, wasn't it easier to simply understand these four phrasal verbs automatically through a visual story, rather than trying to learn them through confusing translations or forgettable flashcards?

This is what it means to learn a language instantly, without using your native language, or studying any complicated rules.
