The Dairy Game: The Wedding 3/5/2025

Good evening my amazing people! How una dey? How your Sunday go? I hope say it was peaceful, restful, or even fun in its own way. Happy Sunday to everyone—whether you spent it in church, with family, at an event, or just indoors, I pray say the joy and peace of today go follow you into the new week.

Let me share how my own day (yesterday) went.

I woke up early and went straight to the basics—brushed my teeth and then headed out to wash the car. After that small chore, I did a little exercise just to get my body active. Not too long after, I went to take a bath, freshened up and entered the kitchen to prepare spaghetti, which I ate with stew. Clean and satisfying.

I didn’t watch any movie yesterday because I had to attend a wedding. And honestly, it was very interesting. It's actually been a while since I last attended one, so I was really looking forward to it. The wedding was that of mummy’s friend’s daughter—she’s Igbo, and she got married to a fellow Igbo guy, so there was a beautiful display of Igbo culture all around. From the attire to the music to some of the customs being practiced—it was a full vibe. I even picked up a few things I didn’t know before.

The only thing wey pain me small be say the food wasn’t native Igbo meals, which would’ve really crowned the day. But oh well.

I attended the event with Big Mummy, Big Daddy, and Bro. Me and bro actually sat at a different table from mummy and daddy—some of una go understand why. Lol. On our table, they dropped a bottle of wine called “Four Cousins”. Out of curiosity, I checked the label and saw it had 8.5% alcohol. Because of that, most people on the table no touch am, which meant more drinks for me. I no complain. Lol. It almost made me want to start attending weddings more often, I won’t lie.

Then the food came. But honestly, I wasn’t impressed. The quantity was small, and after tasting it, it just didn’t hit. The plate had rice, Moi Moi, and salad. I looked around and saw everybody digging into their own plates like it was amazing, but me—I just couldn’t relate. So I picked out the meat and salad, ignored the rest, and continued sipping my drink while enjoying the music, jokes, and vibes from the MC.

There was also this girl sitting next to me. Very pretty—no doubt. I stole glances at her a few times just to reconfirm that, yes, she was really fine. But I didn’t try to rizz her. We only spoke when it was necessary or when she asked for something. It wasn’t until I was about leaving that I finally asked for her name and introduced mine. Just in case we ever meet somewhere else—or she meets me. Who knows?

Coming back home, I felt so tired. I went in for a shower, grabbed something to eat, spent a little time on social media checking chats and replying to messages, and before I knew it, I just slept off. That’s why I couldn’t do my diary update yesterday.

Anyhow sha, I just want to wish everyone a goodnight and a wonderful week ahead. May this new week favour us all in ways we didn’t even expect.

One love, fam. Sleep well and stay blessed.
