Hello my fellow steemians and members of this great community I have something special for you guys. This the truth and sad reality about having a favourite child among your children. Parental favoritism can indeed contribute to the development of narcissistic tendencies in children..
I will be talking about how it foster narcissism and its consequences. Just read along and contribute in the comment section.


How Parental Favoritism Can Foster Narcissism

✓. Development of grandiosity: Excessive praise and attention can foster grandiose expectations and a sense of superiority in children.

✓. Lack of empathy and accountability: Favoritism can lead to a lack of empathy and accountability in the favored child. They may not develop the ability to consider others' feelings and needs.

✓. Sense of entitlement: Children who are consistently favored may develop a sense of entitlement, expecting special treatment and automatic compliance from others.

✓. Unconditional praise and admiration: When parents excessively praise and admire one child over others, it can create an inflated sense of self-importance and entitlement.

✓. Inability to handle criticism: Favoritism can make children more sensitive to criticism and less able to handle constructive feedback.


Consequences of Parental Favoritism
