Today I will introduce the topic of perker DC drive. It is a type of DC drive which control the DC motor. Our DC drive comes with various problems like missing pulse, field fault, encoder fault, three phase problem, probibus communication problem etc.

★★Keypad :
The drive is filted with the 6901 keypad.
If provides local control of the drive, monitoring and comple access for application programming for example, you can strat and stop the motor, check on diagonostic information, and change paremeters value on the drive however, you can also remote mount the keypad up to melres away for remote - mounting, you will need the correct remote mounting ket, Refer to chapter.

Time to test
★★ Pre Operation checks:
Initual checks before applying power:
- Main power supply voltage is correct.
- Auxilliary power supply voltage is correct.
- Check all external wireing circuits power.
- Control, Motor, Earth connections.
★★ Prepare to the drive and system and follows:
- Remote the main external HRC fuses to prevent Main 3 phase and signal phase Auxilliary supply from being connected.
- Disconnect the load from the motor shaft, if possible.
- If any of the drive's control terminals are not being used, check these unused terminals need to be tied high or low. Refer to appendix E.
- Check external run contacts are open.
- check external speed set points are all zero.

★★ Fine adjustments for speed feed back.
- Gradually increase the speed set Points so that the value of the speed set point is at maximum check the shaft speed is correct.
If fine adjustment is required adjust the calibation as appropriate to the speed feed back selection. - Armature voltage feed back has a +2/10% trim.
★★ Performing an Autotune:
- Set the autotune parameter to Armature.
- Close the main contactor, strat signal to terminal 3.
- Energise the enable terminal C5.
★★Perform a parameter save now. Refer to chapter. The keypad saving your application.
- If necessary restore field connections and remove the mechanical clamp.
★★Autotune Failed:
- The keypad displays the messages autotune Aborted.
- If any one off the initual conditions above are remove. On the autotune error.
- The motor shaft was roting.
- Large imbalance in the three phase voltage of the supply.
- A hard ware fault relating to Current feed back was detected on the control board.

★★ Operating drive :
This is achieved by removing 24v from terminal b9.The stack is Automatically quenched and the contactor is opened the motor coast a stop.
★★ Standstill:
Refer to apendix programming standstill.
★★ Normal starting method.
To achieve a normal start of the drive.
- Apply 24 v to terminal C5 enable .
- Apply 24v to terminal C5 start.
★★Control loops:
This chapter explants the principle of Operation and provides help on setting up the control loops correctly.
