Assalamu Alaikum. How are you? I hope everyone is well by the grace of Allah. I am well, Alhamdulillah.I am very excited to participate in Learning Challenge Season 24/Week#2. Through this learning challenge I am able to learn about cake making . Many thanks to @m-fdo for organizing such a beautiful learning challenge #cakechallenge-s24w2.

Make the given recipe in detail with step by step pictures. Include your name tag with the date at the final presentation of the recipe.


Today I am going to make chocolate cake. So let's start cooking.

Steps

First, the ingredients needed to make the cake need to be brought in room temperature. I took a clean bowl. Then I put the required amount (100 grams) of butter in this bowl. After adding the butter, I added the sugar according to the amount. I mixed the sugar and butter well with the hand beater help.It’look like this.

After mixing the sugar and butter well, I added two eggs one by one to it. After adding the eggs, I mixed the mixture well. This is a bit time-consuming task and requires a little patience to whip it well and make a smooth batter.

I took the required amount of flour, baking powder, and cocoa powder. Then, using a sieve, I sifted it well and gradually added it to the mixture with hand beater.

After mixing all the ingredients well, I added a small amount of vanilla essence to the mixture for better smell.

The process of making the batter for the cake is almost complet. I mixed all ingredients carefully then I mixed liquid milk in the batter and beat well.

Then I take a cake mold and brush butter on a piece of paper and spread it over the mold. Then pour the cake batter into it. After pouring the batter, tap the mold well two or three times, as a result, the air bubbles that were in the batter will come out.

Then I will place a frying pan on the stove and set a stand in it. I will place the cake mold in the stand and put the lid on it. The stove will be on medium to high heat.

It will take about 40 to 50 minutes to bake the cake. After 40 minutes, I will check if the cake is baked by inserting a toothpick into the cake. If the toothpick comes out fresh, then my cake is completely ready to serve.

No, I have never made a chocolate cake before. This is the first time I have tried to make a chocolate cake to participate in the contest . I was initially scared when I heard about making a cake, wondering if I could make it, but after reading the article by @m-fdo Teacher, I felt that I could make it if I tried. With that courage and according to the teacher's guidance, I participated in this contest. Although I was initially scared of making a chocolate cake, later I was able to complete the process of making this cake quite well. My husband and my sons loved the cake. It was very soft and delicious. They requested to make this cake again.

Explain the importance of the cocoa powder/chocolate powder used in the cake. Also, why do you use less cocoa powder than flour?

This cake is called chocolate cake because chocolate powder is used. Chocolate powder enhances the flavor, taste, and extraordinary color of the cake. which increase our appetizer.

A moderate amount of chocolate powder enhances the flavor and color of the cake, but excess chocolate powder makes the cake bitter. Because chocolate powder tastes a little bitter. Since chocolate powder does not have gluten, too much chocolate powder makes the cake dry. That is why more flour is used than chocolate powder.
