TRUST

It is a pleasure to partake in this week's contest on 'pick a word, paint a story' while I would be talking/writing on trust.

As simple as the five letters word sounds, it plays a huge role in men's life.
Having strong faith in someone even behind their back is a beautiful thing. Trust major especially in relationships among men or humans; right from friendship to courting and others. When we trust people, we are certain the behaviours and the type of actions we expect from them.
This feeling cause it to vehemently defend someone's honour when they are not even aware. ‘This person can't do this’ , ‘definitely! My person would not say that!’; these thoughts goes through one's mind before springing into action to stand against an accusation towards a family or friend.
As this concept has a place in the personal aspect of one's life, it is not found questionable in our career or the professional area of our lives. Building trust amongst ourselves in the workplace or around our business promotes teamwork and brings about improvement. Prosperous business partnership and customer relationship is also built on trust.
Although, it is something that takes a while to build up in people, as we can't trust strangers, it could also be easily lost.
Relationships that is not built on trust could be easily broken or lead to nowhere when there is constant quarrel, distrust and suspicion towards each other.
Losing trust in someone could be as a result of lies, betrayal or constant secret keeping, as it is built on transparency and honesty.
Some people find it difficult to trust others or people around them these days and they would strongly preach against trusting people. Because they would have seen, heard or experienced a sort of tradedy from trusting people too much. Yes, losing trust in people sometimes comes with some sort of pain, sadness and heartbreak which could take a while to heal and move on from.
This stems from the fact that trust is a form of vulnerability which when rightly reciprocated is beautiful but otherwise, it could get ugly.
Finally, through research, it might be possible to rebuild trust by making amends and properly giving sincere apologies.
