Greetings and welcome to my blog. Am excited to be a part of this beautiful cake class and am excited because it’s been a while I ate a home made cake and I felt it was another time to give myself a Savoury treat. Thank you @m-fdo for such a beautiful opportunity to explore again.

So I made a savory and delicious home made butter cake and these were the ingredients and procedures I used for it.
Ingredients:
Flour
Butter
Eggs
Baking powder
Sugar
Vanilla flavor
Procedure:
I put the butter in a plate and added sugar to it and mixed the two of them together for a while and then I added the egg to it and continued stirring until well mixed.
I then proceeded to sift my flour and mixed it with baking powder. I added the mixture of the flour and baking powder into the butter and thoroughly worked them into the butter mixture. I then proceeded to add the vanilla flavor and mixed again.

I cleaned my baking pan and added the dough into the pan. I didn’t have an oven hence I used a manual oven by putting sand into the pot, preheating it and I placed my baking pan with the mixture into it and covered tight.
I allowed it to bake under low heat for about thirty minutes. I checked with a stick to know if it is ready and yes it was.

My cake was ready to be devoured and I brought down the goodness. I was surrounded with friends who joined me in eating the cake and they all attested to the sweetness, fluffiness and nice taste.

What difficulties did you encounter while making this recipe?
I didn’t encounter any form of difficulty at all. I simply followed the step by step procedure as shown in the class and the cake came out perfect.

Each of the ingredient used in making the cake has its unique importance and they includes:
Flour: The flour is the ingredient that provides the Structure, the texture and also serves as the base for the cake.
Egg: The egg is the binding agent. It helps to add richness, moisture and also has leavening properties.
Sugar: The sugar comes in handy as the agent of sweetness, it also makes for tenderness and the browning of the cake.
Baking powder: The baking powder is the leavening agent that helps the cake to rise well.
Butter: Butter helps to contribute moisture, makes the cake very tender and also gives flavor to the cake.
Vanilla flavor: The vanilla flavor helps to enhance the general or overall aroma and flavor of the cake.
The combination of all these ingredients in the right proportions helps to Create a cake that is delicious, fluffy and moist.
