I am @hudamalik20 from Pakistan. I hope you all are doing great in your life. Today, I am participating in this Pin & Win: Map Your World on Steem Atlas - Week 1 organized by @mohammadfaisal in Travelling Steem Community.
This is my second blog for the "Steem Atlas" contest, and I’m really excited to participate again. I hope you all will like my post. Today, I’m going to participate in the topic about my favorite place. And as a student, my most favorite place is my university.
Let me take you on a virtual tour of my university and tell you why it is so close to my heart. It's not just a place for learning but also a beautiful and peaceful environment where I spend most of my time. The architecture of the university is unique and each department has its own beautiful building.
I travel to university daily using the university bus, and the great part is that there are no daily travel expenses because the bus fee is already included in our annual university fee. However, if I miss the bus for any reason, I have to travel using two rickshaws – one takes me to the city side, and from there I take another rickshaw that goes to the university. This costs Rs. 100, which is approximately 2.39 STEEM (at the rate of 41.9).
Today, as usual, I took the bus and clicked a photo while sitting inside. Once I reached university, I started my day by exploring the campus. The bus drops us near the center of the university, close to the main canteen (yes, we have two canteens!).

Next, we reached the sports ground where students play cricket, hockey, badminton, etc. It’s specifically made for outdoor games and has proper sitting areas for enjoying the matches.
On my way from the bus station to my department, I saw that sports activities were going on. Students were practicing cricket, football, tennis, and more, both indoor and outdoor games. There were nets set up and everything was well-organized.
Then I passed by the famous "Love Road" no one really knows why it’s called that, maybe because couples often sit there. But me and my friends enjoy sitting there too, laughing and chatting. I believe university should be for education, not love stories..🙂
Then I went to the central campus garden, which is surrounded by greenery and trees. The place is peaceful and great for group study or waiting for friends.
We then visited the Ibn-e-Rushd Block, which is home to all business related departments. My younger sister also studies here. The department has beautiful lawns and seminar halls, and even separate water dispensers with cold drinking water in every block.
After that, we went to the Sir Syed Block, which includes departments like Education, Political Science, International Relations, and Engineering. The buildings are spacious, well llit, and clean, with experienced faculty from abroad.

Next, I visited the main water point at the center of the university. Here, all students from any department can drink filtered water or do wudu if needed. I also filled my bottle here but before that, I bought a new water bottle from the canteen for Rs. 50 , which is about 1.2STEEM.
Then I reached at our beautiful library , which is peaceful and cool with AC. It’s fully equipped with books, reading spaces, and everything we need for assignments or exam preparation. You can borrow books using your university card. It’s my favorite spot during exams!

After the library, I visited the canteen , which is like a big hall with many food options snacks, juices, bakery items, ice creams, smoothies, milkshakes, and more. There are both indoor and outdoor seating areas with fans and proper lighting. I also clicked some pictures here.
After passing the canteens and moving to the right side, we find the Mathematics Department. This is where my college friends study three of them are enrolled here, so I often visit this department. All students related to mathematics study here, including BS, MPhil, and MSc level students. The quality of education is excellent here too.
This department also has a computer lab for math students because some of their subjects require computer learning. The labs are well equipped, with separate rooms, beautiful interiors, bright lights, good fans, and large, well-ventilated rooms.
Right next to it on the right side is the Ibn Khaldun Block. This block offers subjects like BS Sociology, Social Work, Psychology, Islamic Studies, History, and Pakistan Studies. Many highly qualified teachers teach here., some have even studied abroad.
Nearby is the main entrance of the university, commonly known as " Fawara Chowk." Whenever we want to meet a friend, we usually say “meet in front of the fountain at Chowk.” It’s a beautiful spot, and when the weather is nice, the fountain is turned on. Otherwise, it's kept off to conserve water. The area is surrounded by greenery and colorful flowers, adding to its charm.
The white building I took a picture of used to be the old university canteen. Before the new canteen was built, this was the main canteen of the university. All facilities that are now in the new canteen were previously available here. Now, this building is used for online learning courses, such as graphic designing, freelancing, e-commerce (Shopify), etc. Most physical classes for these courses are held here.
Moving to the front side of the university, you'll find the mosque on the right side.We can offer prayers, perform ablution, and sit for worship or remembrance. The mosque is beautifully maintained, surrounded by greenery, trees, and different types of flowers.
I also took a picture of a banner placed in the sports area of our university. Sports gala activities are ongoing, and the banner was installed for that event. A variety of indoor and outdoor games are being held. It’s a lot of fun students enjoy watching and participating. Winners receive prizes, and the energy is amazing. There are swings and even drums (dhols) that add excitement to the environment.
So, this was my tour and experience of the university buildings. This is my favorite place, where I spend most of my time since joining the university. Our class timings are often scattered sometimes in the morning, sometimes in the evening so I spend a lot of time here.
