Cryptocurrency Reaches The Front Page Of Pitchfork

There's a long and friendly article about modern rap artists - from Nas to 50 Cent and beyond - and their recent references to bitcoin, on the homepage of Pitchfork today.

Given that pitchfork is arguably the most influential music publication of the indie world, this is a nice thing to wake up to.

You never know what you're going to get with these kinds of articles - will be a hype piece, a hate piece, or something in-between? I'm super happy to see that the author here, Sheldon Pearce, gave it a nuanced and intelligent look. He praises the positive aspects of crypto and shines a mostly fun light on its relationship with hip-hop, while still taking time to point out the risk of scams in the space.

This paragraph is a standout:

If you're a pitchfork kinda person, I recommend giving the full article a read. It isn't too long and it has a lot of fun trivia.

As the years go by, the relationship between music and blockchain continues to grow. I think we're in for a good future, 2018 so far has been an excellent sign of things to come.

Crypto is getting a lot of attention but the markets are not reflecting that but will some day
Thanks for sharing

Yeah an article on Pitchfork isn't anything nearly enough to impact the markets. We've seen Steem covered in some major publications and while it's fun, I don't remember seeing it result in any price increases.

The market reacts more in bad and fake news than good ones, is the hard truth xD
