What Is SteemFollower?

SteemFollower is a third party tool created by @mahdiyari that connects with the STEEM blockchain using your private active key to display your most recent post. It incentives manual curation by giving you more exposure when upvoting others. The service used to login is SteemConnect 2.0 which is considered secure.

SteemFollower Updates:

How does SteemFollower work?
It's a platform where you get points from curating other members of SteemFollower. The more points you have the more visible you are on the platform.

What functions does SteemFollower have?
"Upvote Exchange" - Increases the exposure on the latest post
"Internal Market" - Sell / buy points increasing post exposure.

Is SteemFollower a scam/ spam / a bot?
No, all voting is done manually and only requires your posting key using SteemConnect.

How does the referral system work?
You receive 3% extra in points when your referrals upvotes through the platform.

How does the point system work?
You receive points from upvoting which makes your latest post visible and increases your exposure on the platform. When someone upvotes you the same value of points are subtracted.

Do I need to submit my post to SteemFollower?
No, the last post you have edited is automatically visible on SteemFollower? as long as you have points and done 5 upvotes that 48h period.

Which Post will be visible on SteemFollower?
The latest post you edit is the one that is visible on SteemFollower.

What is @cheetah mark on the posts?

What is that daily 5 Upvotes? and Maximum Upvoting limit?
To stay visible on SteemFollower you need to make at least 5 upvotes every 48h. There is a maximum numbers of times you can upvote posts through SteemFollower.

Steemfollower Tips & Tricks

SteemFollower has a reset timer every 24h. Set an alarm so you know when it's reset then upvote at least 5 posts through the platform and the latest post will be visible again

Hi @reko ! Thanks for the review on Steem Follower. I am sure many more users will be able to take benefit of it.

Im trying out the Steemfollower tool after your recommendation and learnarning how it works.

I like the manual voting aspect of the concept but i find it hard if not harder to find real quality contect via SF, as there is lots of spammy posts listed there.

Btw, the link "Read more here!" about @cheetah has a dot at the end.

The @cheetah marked post are very useful to avoid voting for plagiarism.
Im guessing that many SF users will just vote on random posts to make the daily 5 votes, without actually reading it.

yeh the lack of quality posts can be a problem so we need to get more people using it but you can use the search function to find a specific user. If the individual is not using it you can always invite.

The incentives for upvoting manually through steemit or any other front-end is not strong enough at the moment resulting in little organic voting going and most people just sell their votes instead.
So what SF has done is actually really ingenious and simple at the same time just that most people don't understand the concept or don't want things to change...

When you have more Steem Power you can choose the % of you vote so you can do 1% upvote if you like so it's not much of a commitment and according to @mahdiyari you only need to do 5 upvotes every 48h.

Maybe the message under the Manual Cutaion panel should be updated, as it says:

You must upvote at least 5 post/day.

But what happens when you make less then 5 upvotes in 48 hours? You lose points?

Looks interesting but I don't like the idea.Upvoting other members of Steem follower just to recive points and,because they are Steem follower members too?This sounds like bumping with "artificial" and meaningless upvotes.Upvoting content you like and staying active is much better for the community and Steemit in general.However maybe Im getting it wrong.I will surely keep an eye on this project.

Anyone can use SteemFollower and all upvoting is done manually... I invite the people I usually support there and get extra value for upvoting them which is much needed in these times when so many are just selling their votes...

By saying artificial I meant that those upvotes aren't given for good content but just for the sake of getting points and rewarding other Steem follower users.Don't get me wrong brother😌Those were only my thoughts,maybe Im totally wrong because I don't know the community of this project.The thing that I doubt is the idea of upvoting just to get some kind of profit.But as I said Im not sure and I will surely keep an eye on this.Keep up your great work @reko😋

It's very similar to how it's done on every other front-end just that you get the extra incentive by getting points as well as not being able to upvote yourself...

It's still up to the user to decide what's worth upvoting...

I was going to try this. However, it seems to REQUIRE either a Master or Active Key. If we could un-check the 'Claim Rewards' permission and login with a Posting Key, I would do it. But, I've heard that our Master/Active Keys should NEVER be used on a third-party site. Still, this is interesting, and I am glad you told us about it!

I use steemfollower and it is what gave me hope in Steemit I always refer people to use it and so far I have 8 steemians that successfully registered among the numerous I invited.

And right now, SteemFollower is messing with me. it can't load the posts :/ So, wait for your upvote xD

Anyway, I like this tool, but I wanted to ask, after you have 500SP, do you get that slider like you have it on Steemit or busy.org ?... It's hard for new Steemit members with low SP to use this tool because you need to upvote 5 posts every day, and that takes away a lot of voting power.

edit: Ok, while I was typing this, it loaded the posts... :D

If you can I really recommend getting more SP either by buying a little or renting it as it really speeds up ones progress. You don't need a lot to make a lot of difference. I don't know the actualy limit to be able to decide your percentage on SF unf...
