A Deep Q-Network is a convolutional neural network which isn't something that I'm an expert in. But you can follow this article series by Intel to learn more about it. While you are reading that let's get to the cool results.

6 Minutes 57 Seconds Of AI Playing Flappy Bird

In case you are wondering what happened to the cute background; realize that Deep Q-Network use raw pixel values from the game to train itself. Removing the background saves a lot of time and computing resources. It's basically allowing the AI to have it easy and lazy to get faster results.

Deep Learning Flappy Bird is NOT a game. It's an AI developed using Deep Q-Network to play the game like how AlphaGo plays Go. The GitHub link is for the AI.

Sorry, it's approved now.

Thanks :)

really, its a bird? looks like Nemo, a fish, to me :) super interesting to see the bird hopping and from time to time dropping much further than it should do, but correcting quickly.

This game has been shut down a long time ago right? Are they planning on releasing a new one with new features?

A flappy bird that uses a deep learning? how cool is that, i didn't though about that kind of game, oh well, i didn't play this game because but most of the people are addicted to this kind of a game that will test your endurance, patience, and more.

Great,
So, a lot of time could be saved be removing the backgrounds.
That sounds really cool.
Thanks for sharing this hunt with us all

This was one of the games I played before and is definitely a game I found hard to play because of the precise timing you need to tap for the bird to flap its wings.

It's definitely nice to see AI being applied to games.

Congratulations!
