War
The long line of downtrodden dwindled to a pinpoint on the smoky horizon.
A girl and her father stood watching.
The soot smudged, tear streaked face turned.
"Will it ever end, Papa?"
"Only for the brave, Mishka. Only for the brave."

Yes; writing very short stories is excellent practice and working out what is important and what isn't in a story. Also good to see what happens to a story if you are forced to leave something out.
